Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and holds the record for being awarded 10/10 marks at an Olympic event. Bela Karolyi later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci as she was only six years old. Her first competition was in the national junior championships which she finished 13th in 1969. In the year 1970, she was crowned champion. In 1972, during an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she was awarded 3 gold and silver medals. In 1973 and 1974, she became the all-around junior champ. When she made her debut as a senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion who won four golds and one argent. In 1976 she became the first person in the world who used a double backwards salto for a dismount off the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne into the realm of entertainment began as a teenager. Along with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol entered the entertainment industry when she was in her teens. She began her professional career by performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment programs Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of skaters ice skating with actors.
